|To come in Beaujolais and more particularly to Chiroubles it is to offer a trip in a superb region which one can describe of Tuscany to the France.|
In Chiroubles the landscapes will amaze you because at the turn of each hill you will discover here a chapel, further a castle, a wash house, a vineyard house but also a multitude of places where the Beaujolais vineyards and Beaujolais green with its grove , its wild moors and mysterious forests.
The history of Domaine Cheysson is very old as evidenced by our cellars of the seventeenth century.
It was the monks of Cluny Abbey who first cleared the hills of Chiroubles to plant the vineyard and founded a priory on the current site of the estate.
They remained present until the French Revolution.
The expertise of the monks combined with the quality of the terroirs of the Domaine with evocative names such as "Cotes Rôties, Grille midi, Les Roches ..." have determined the choice of the establishment of the Estate
